Kent House Guest House, an elegant Victorian Guest House retaining many original features, has a tradition dating back to the mid 1800`s of hospitality and a friendly welcome to Guests from all over the world.
Sandra and Simon continue this tradition and would like you to experience the comfort of their spacious guest room accommodation and to savour their full English Lakeland breakfast prepared using local produce. Perhaps you would prefer to tailor your own breakfast from their extensive menu, or indulge in the ultimate pamper, breakfast in bed!

Kent House Guest House is located in the centre of Ambleside, a short walk from Lake Windermere and ideally situated should you wish to explore and discover the English Lake District whilst staying in this charming Village.
Outstanding natural beauty, close proximity to lake cruises, the homes of Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, many National Trust historic buildings and gardens, gift shops and specialist outdoor pursuit suppliers are just some of the reasons why Ambleside effortlessly attracts so many visitors throughout the seasons every year.
There are many walks accessible directly from the village, ranging from those suitable for the first timers who just want a gentle walk in magnificent surroundings, to the more challenging route for the experienced walkers. (you will find plasters for sore feet in your Guestroom !)
Bicycle storage is available and dogs may be welcome by prior arrangement.
Should you have sampled the “Lake Replenishment System” and need your clothes drying, they can be dried overnight ready for the next day, a packed lunch can be provided too.
When you return tired and hungry at the end of the day, you may choose to watch the world go by whilst drinking tea on the terrace, or relax in the comfortable surroundings of Kent House prior to eating in one of the superb restaurants or hostelries just moments away, where you will find a wide and varied selection of menus with which to satisfy simple or serious culinary desires.
ACCOMMODATION
Guests are offered a choice of five attractive, spacious bedrooms each with individual character and charm, all rooms have en-suite or private facilities.
Central heating, colour TV, hairdryer, radio and complimentary tea/coffee trays are provided for your comfort. There are also many little luxuries to make your stay more memorable.
Wifi internet access is enabled throughout Kent House for those wishing to keep in touch via their laptop or PDA.
