The Situation

A small family guest house offering a warm welcome, situated within a few minutes walk of Looe town centre, harbour and beach.

The Accommodation

Five comfortable rooms comprised of three en suite and two with private bathrooms that are tastefully furnished and decorated.

All rooms are UPVC double glazed with independently controlled wall mounted thermostats.
Complimentary refreshment tray, colour television and radio/alarm clock.
H & C in all rooms.
Dining area with separate tables. There is a comprehensive breakfast menu with special diets catered for.
Packed lunches by prior arrangement.
Garden patio area with views to the town and estuary.
Access to rooms at all times
Sorry there is no facilities for pets.
Children welcome, discounts if sharing a family room with parents.
Travel cot available.

From Liskeard direction:

On entering Looe cross the bridge over the river into W. Looe. Immediately on crossing the river turn right. After a short distance, North Road is on the left. Kantana is just beyond this on the left; the sign can clearly be seen. Unload your vehicle in North Road. From the Polperro direction (A387) On almost reaching the town you will see the 'Kantana' sign on your right with a right turn into North Road. Turn into North Road and unload your vehicle.

Local attractions:

Kantana is situated directly above the Looe River estuary and just a short walk from the town amenities.
Looe is a bustling all year round seaside resort that still retains much of its old fishing port heritage.

The town provides:

A good selection of shops with a wide range of speciality and High Street names.
A good choice of restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
A sheltered sandy beach, very popular with families.
A large harbour with boats of every description.
Deep sea/shark fishing, pleasure boat trips.
Rod fishing from the harbour wall is very popular with both adults and children alike.
Excellent coastal and woodland walks.
A first class tourist information centre.

Looe is often linked to the small fishing village of Polperro. This picturesque little village is well worth a visit and very popular in the summer months.

Plymouth City - a short drive, there is a very scenic coastal route. The city provides excellent shopping in traffic free streets. There is also a large harbour (The Barbican) (Sir Francis Drake fame) with excellent restaurants, pubs and the boat trips are highly recommended.

Touring

Numerous quiet little coves/beaches and wide open headlands.
The Eden Project is approximately a 30-minute drive.
For those who enjoy the wide open spaces, Dartmoor is an easy drive.
Cornwall is probably the most beautiful county in the country, but quite small. Most places can be reached within an hours drive.
For those not familiar with the area there is very helpful tourist information centre just a short walk from the guest house.
