The Jesmond Hotel is a small friendly hotel that enjoys an excellent location.![]() It is situated on the corner of Fern Avenue and Osborne Road; this is a main attraction with lots of hotels, bars and restaurants and has become a very popular venue. The hotel is at the quieter end of the road. We are in the middle of two Metro train stations; each taking a ten-minute walk, the journey into the centre of Newcastle takes 5 minutes. Buses stop a short walk from the hotel, which also takes you into the City Centre. ![]() Charles and Ann White took over the Hotel in February 2004 and immediately set out to improve the standard in the bedrooms, restaurant and bar. Within a few months the improvements were very apparent attracting notable praises from new and old clients alike. They have been joined by Chef Paul Amer and his wife Gillian, Paul is without a doubt one of the best Chefs in the North East having trained and worked in the finest establishments of the region. Together with his wife Gillian they are a great addition to the team and will help make both the hotel and Amer's restaurant the place of choice. |

| Surrounding Area The city centre is only 10 minutes away where there is Eldon Square Shopping Centre. The Metro Centre is twenty minutes away and is one of the biggest indoor shopping centres in Europe. The nightlife can be found just along Osborne Road and down the Quayside both these places are popular for food and drink. |

| Hotel Policies Check in/Check out: - You may check in from 13:00 hours onwards, you must check out by 11:00 hours. We can provide luggage storage facilities for early arrivals and late departures. Cancellations: - In the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 1 days notice prior to the date of arrival, an amount equivalent to 100% of the total booking value will be charged. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Maestro (Switch). A credit card is required as guarantee. If the booking is not cancelled outside of the cancellation notice period your credit card will be charged with the full amount of the booking. Please note for all group bookings over 6 persons a deposit of £20.00 per head will be needed to secure any reservation being held, this is non-refundable. For no show and late cancellation one night will be charged. |

| Directions From the North Be on the A696 approaching Tyneside at the intersection with the A1 go across it onto the A167. This road becomes a motorway (A167M) as you approach Newcastle City Centre. The following directions are common to travellers from all directions. Leave this road onto the A1058 - Tynemouth Road when you will merge with traffic arriving from the opposite direction. Once you have merged, you will quickly encounter traffic lights at a very busy junction, turn left and you are now on Osborne Road. The Jesmond Hotel is 800 metres ahead on the right. From the West Be on the A69 approaching Tyneside at the intersection with the A1. Turn left (North) for two junctions, and then turn right onto the A167, from this point follow the instructions above. (From the North) From the South Be on the A1 (M) approaching Tyneside immediately after the services at Washington. Exit onto the A167 - Gateshead, South you will travel for approximately 3 miles passing through the town of Low Fell and Gateshead and eventually you will cross the River via Tyne Bridge once over the bridge the road becomes the A267 (M) signposted the North after half a mile you will exit onto the A1058 - Tynemouth from this point follow the instructions above (From the North). |
