The Huntly Hotel is a small, privately owned establishment providing comfortable accommodation in a beautiful part of Aberdeenshire. It is ideally situated for touring the Grampian region in the north-east of Scotland and is close to many attractions and recreational activities. The hotel, located in the small town square of Huntly, was built between 1900 and 1903 and retains many of the original Victorian features. We provide both bed and breakfast and full accommodation, one night or one week, you are equally welcome. In addition, we offer full dining facilities and catering for functions in our restaurant and function rooms. The hotel is within easy reach of a range of recreational activities including walking, golf, bowling green, swimming pool and tennis. Nordic skiing, fishing, shooting and riding are available locally. Further details, and assistance with booking, can be provided if required. The fantastic Scottish scenery of the Cairngorms is a short drive away and Loch Ness can be reached in about two hours. The splendid coastal areas of north Aberdeenshire and Moray are readily accessible. Huntly is on the Malt Whisky Trail, including both Glenfiddich and Glendronach distilleries nearby, and the Castle Trail. Huntly Castle, a former stronghold of the Gordon clan, is a 17th Century castle with remains of a 12th century Moat and Bailey, a Medieval L-plan tower house and Civil War defence earthworks. |

The hotel provides eleven bedrooms; six are fully en suite, three with private bathrooms and one family room that comprises a double room, a twin room and a bathroom. Most rooms have a view over the town square. Private parking is available at the rear of the hotel. You are always assured of a warm welcome to our family run hotel. |
| Dining The hotel's facilities include a Lounge bar, Public bar, two function rooms and a restaurant. The restaurant has built up a reputation for good food and friendly service. We also boast a well-stocked wine cellar and an excellent selection of malt whiskies. Excellent quality food at down to earth prices.  Sample Dinner Menu Trio of Scotland's Best - Medallions of fillet steak topped with haggis, black pudding, white pudding with red wine sauce, chips or potatoes,and fresh seasonal vegetables. Chicken Maryland - Supreme of chicken served with peach, banana, pineapple, bacon, sausage and tomato filled with sweet corn relish. Grilled Fresh Wild Sea Bass - served on a bed of savoy cabbage and red onion with chips or potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. Vegetarian dishes are also available. | Functions We have two function rooms, one of which has facilities for a disco. The larger room has seating for up to 80 persons. Weddings, Birthday, Anniversary, Conference.  | What to do Scenery, Walking, Golf, Fishing, Whisky Trail. The Huntly Hotel is your ideal base. The Cairngorms National Park has a large mountain range at its heart with diverse communities around it. It is home to 17,000 people and 25% of Britain's threatened species. It includes unique mountainous areas of wild land, moorlands, forests, rivers, lochs and glens. Sites designated as of importance to natural heritage take up 39% of the land area - two thirds of these are of Europe-wide importance. The Park stretches from Grantown on Spey to the heads of the Angus Glens, from Ballater to Dalwhinnie and Drumochter including much of the Laggan area in the southwest and a large area of the Glen Livet estate and the Strathdon/Glen Buchat area. Many of these areas depend on the work of land managers for their special qualities. The Cairngorms rich cultural heritage is also part of what makes it exceptional. Within a thirty minute drive there are at least 4 Stillwater Trout Fisheries, The River Deveron is less than 5 minutes drive if you wish to Fish for Wild Scottish Salmon & Brown Trout, other river systems and traditional loch style fishing can be found within easy driving distance. |
| Huntly Golf Course The 104 year old course measures 4906 yards off the gents yellow markers and is ideal for the golfer who likes a leisurely game where the ability to hit the ball a great distance isn't a problem.  A popular course for visitors and parties alike Huntly Golf Club has expanded throughout is 106 years and continues to provide the best facilities to visitors and its members. The clubhouse underwent a major refurbishment during the winter of 1998/99 and now offer the visitor some of the best facilities in the North East. |
