| Hotel & its features This 16 Bedroom Hotel was built around 1910 and is situated opposite Gyllyngvase Beach. Magnificent sea views over Falmouth Bay can be seen from most bedrooms, lounge and restaurant. The restaurant has a traditional menu with waitress service and the licensed bar overlooks the patio garden.

| Bedrooms, Restaurant & Lounge All bedrooms are ensuite with bath/shower or shower only. Once again most have outstanding views. The rooms are situated on the first and second floors. We have King/Double/Twin/Single rooms with TV and wi fi in all areas. Please note we have a new wireless fire/smoke detector system installed to current 2008 Fire regulations-very important! The seaview Restaurant is open for evening dining from 6.30 pm until 9.00 pm serving a traditional a la carte menu. Breakfast can be from a lighter choice to full English breakfast. We purchase most foods locally and aim for fresh Cornish produce where possible.The Resident’s lounge, sun terrace and restaurant all overlook the bay and beach. |

| Location The hotel is just a stone's throw from Falmouth's beautiful Gyllyngvase Beach. This stretch of coastline is one of the finest in Cornwall and can be overlooked from most of the hotel rooms. A few yards from the door is the splendid seafront and coastal path - along which you can walk to the historic Pendennis Castle, or other smaller beaches and inlets in between. Relax on the sand and enjoy an ice-cream or go hunting in the many rock-pools which fringe the bay. Falmouth's bustling harbour, interesting town shops, Falmouth College of Arts and the new National Martime Museum are all between 10 and 15 minute's walk from the hotel. Within the wider area there is much to enjoy and explore, including sub-tropical gardens, National Trust estates and the popular sailing and diving waters of the south coast. A 30 minute drive will take you to the surfing hotspots and spectacular clifftop walks of the north coast, whilst the world-famous Eden Project (St. Austell) and Tate Gallery (St. Ives) are approx. half an hour from your central base in Falmouth. |
