"THE WHICH? GOOD HOTEL GUIDE"Extract:

"This dignified stone-built property occupies a steeply rising site towards the bottom of a hilly lane on the very edge of the National Park. There are terraces and water features and a splendid kitchen enhanced by witty statuary and local Derbyshire stone. Inside, it is unshowy but tasteful, cared for and home-like. A comfortable sitting room with a wood-burning stove, a separate breakfast room which catches the morning sun, and three spacious handsomely furnished bedrooms. Breakfasts are exceptional, comprising free-range eggs, home-made jams and compotes made from fruit from the gardens."
