| Hill House is a friendly family home where 'bed and breakfast' is offered in a professional but informal style. The house is situated in an elevated position overlooking the very pretty village of Welford-on-Avon, and only 10 minutes drive from Stratford-upon-Avon. There are lovely views from all sides of the house, and an abundance of peace and quiet. Bedrooms Accommodation at Hill House consists of a double bedded room with private bathroom and a large suite for couples or families with an en-suite bathroom. The double room has a standard double bed, fresh flowers, tea/coffee tray, radio, mineral water, books and magazines. There are windows facing north and south, with lovely views over the garden and countryside. Next door is a private bathroom with bath and shower. Bath robes are provided during your stay to protect modesty during the very short dash from bedroom to bathroom. The suite consists of a large bedroom which can be arranged with either two single twin beds or one large 'superking' sized bed. Fresh flowers, tea/coffee tray, radio, mineral water, books and magazines are provided. There is a separate area which can be either a small sitting or reading room, or set up with extra beds for children. A maximum of 3 children and one baby can be accommodated in this suite. The en-suite bathroom has bath and shower. There are lovely views from all the rooms in the suite. Guests also have use of a sitting room with TV, DVD and video (and a large selection of films), books, toys, board games, dressing-up box and piano. Outside there is a large garden where breakfast can be served in fine weather. We have 2 very friendly black Labradors and an old but determined goldfish. The Village Welford-on-Avon is a much photographed village with many beautiful brick houses and thatched cottages. The River Avon loops around the village, giving pleasant walks along it's banks. Hill House has an elevated position on the edge of the village, with the river just in front. Riverside walks can be taken from the house. There are far reaching countryside and village views from all sides of Hill House, and an abundance of peace and quiet. For lunch or dinner, we recommend The Bell, our award winning village pub, for excellent food and friendly service. There are two other pubs in the village, The Shakespeare and The Four Alls which are also very good. Welford has a small 'pay and play' golf course, a beauty and hair salon, acupuncture clinic, butcher, village shop and garage/petrol station.
