| Hilden is an impressive Edwardian house set in 2.5 acres of mature gardens and paddock land, just 50 yards from the open New Forest heath land. It lies just over 2 miles from the coastal Georgian town of Lymington, which is most famous for sailing. Brockenhurst is less than 2 miles to the north of Hilden, with lovely tearooms and a wide variety of restaurants. The majestic Rhinefield Ornamental Drive is home to some of the tallest Redwood and Douglas Fir trees in Britain, always a favourite spot with our guests! Brockenhurst is on the mainline to Bournemouth / Weymouth and is only 1 hour 20 mins from London Waterloo. Children are welcome to play in our delightful gardens where they can see our resident New Forest donkey! Well-behaved dogs (on leads) are welcome at a small extra cost to cover cleaning etc. There are many excellent riding establishments close by catering for all age groups and abilities, where you can arrange a delightful hack out in the Forest. Cycle hire can also be arranged from an excellent hire shop at Brockenhurst. |
