Located on the edge of the village of Heads Nook, seven miles from Carlisle, Heads Nook Hall Bed & Breakfast offers a unique luxury Country Guest House experience. Its location makes it an ideal base for touring this beautiful region, including the Lake District and Roman Wall.

Built in the 1840s, Heads Nook Hall retains all the original Victorian features including a panelled dining room. The spacious guest rooms have extensive views of the magnificent grounds. Each room has a double or kingsize bed and an en suite bathroom with either a large Victorian bath or shower. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms and there is internet access in the morning room.

There are plenty of woodland walks within the eight acres of grounds owned by the family

The downstairs Morning Room is available for guests - relax in front of the crackling log fire at the end of the day.

The room has comfortable leather Chesterfield sofas with a plasma TV with Freesat, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs, and a CD player.

A wide selection of books and board games are also available.

The quiet surroundings of Heads Nook makes it ideal for board meetings/strategy planning/away days, functions and weddings.

Location

We are located 6 miles (approximately 10 minutes) from Junction 43 of the M6

By road: Carlisle 7 miles, Newcastle 50 miles, main cities that are within 100 miles include Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

From the North, South or West: take the A69 from J43 on the M6, in the direction of Hexham / Newcastle, and after 5 -6 miles turn right at the 1st set of traffic lights at Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge. Proceed through the village of Heads Nook. As you leave the village you will see end of speed limit signs and to the left a large house behind trees. Turn left and up the tree lined drive. Visitor parking is available on the circular gravel area at the front of the house (next to the red post box).

From the East: turn left at the Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge traffic lights. These are the first set of traffic lights on the A69 about 3 miles having passed Brampton. Proceed through the village of Heads Nook, as you leave the village you will see the end of speed limit signs, and to the left a large house behind trees. Turn left and up the tree lined drive. Visitor parking is available on the circular gravel area at the front of the house (next to the red post box).
