A traditional Victorian stone house built in 1877, situated at the south side of Kendal close to the river Kent; a few minutes walk takes you into the town centre. Service buses pass nearby to Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick and Lancaster. We are also only just over a mile from the mainline railway station at Oxenholme.

Kendal, an attractive market town, often called the 'Gateway to the Lakes', 8 miles from Windermere, is an ideal base for touring both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Kendal has much to offer, steeped in history with a range of quality restaurants and shops, a well respected theatre and a cinema.
