| TERMS AND CANCELLATION POLICY: (at the discretion of the Proprietors) At the time of booking we would appreciate £25.00 deposit per person or credit card details. We accept Cash, Cheques supported by bankers card, MasterCard, Visa, Switch. We reserve the right to make a charge of £50.00 per room if we do not receive notice of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to 10 am. on the day of arrival. Please note that this charge will also apply for up to a maximum of 2 nights if an early termination of your booking occurs during your stay. However, we will endeavour to re-let the rooms and a refund will be made. |
| SELF-CATERING ACCOMMODATION Self-Catering Facilities We have converted our old stone barn into two beautiful self-catering units, which have been tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and well equipped, leaving you free to enjoy your holiday. We have preserved a wealth of the old timbers and exposed stonework to recapture the ambience of the past combined with all the comforts of a "home from home". Each unit sleeps 2-4 people and consists of a double /twin ensuite bedroom, living room with a table and 4 chairs, 2 settees (1 is a double sofabed) and a well equipped kitchenette. During your stay please feel free to come into the hotel, enjoy a drink at the bar, book breakfasts or evening meals, sit in the garden... Come down to our attractive restaurant for a leisurely breakfast and order dinner for the evening, unless you would prefer to eat out. We have some excellent tried and tested recommendations! | What We Provide Services All gas, electricity and water. We do however ask that, as we are "waste and efficiency aware", that you help us by using these services thoughtfully. Bedroom All bed linen, duvets, pillows and hair drier. Bathroom Towels. (We request that these are not removed from the premises, so if you have forgotten to bring beach towels, come and see us and we will endeavour to sort something out for you) Scrubbing brush. Bath and pedestal mats. Kitchen Tea towels and cleaning materials. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Kettle. 4 place settings of crockery. 6 place settings of cutlery. 6 Paris goblets. 6 fruit juice glasses. Saucepans, Pyrex casseroles, chopping board, knives, lemon squeezer, measuring jug, kitchen utensils. Grater. Bottle and can opener. Iron and use of ironing board. Bin bags, pegs and use of clothes line. Basket. Living room Radio with cassette/CD player. Colour TV with either DVD or video player. If you would like a pack of cards or other games, please come and ask. Out House Somewhere for you to leave those muddy boots, dripping clothes and of course, bicycles! Please note. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to customers items left on our property. Damages We ask that you report all damage/faults occurring on our premises. We reserve the right to ask for full replacement value, but each situation will be assessed on an individual basis. Broadband Internet Broadband internet is available FREE OF CHARGE in both the lounge and bar areas. Cleaning Services All linen will be changed on Saturday morning, so we must ask you to vacate the suite by 10.30 am, whether or not you are staying for additional weeks. If this time is not convenient, please advise us. We will be happy to provide you with a cleaning service at £5.00/day if you wish, but we do need 24 hours notice |
| ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pets Welcome (By prior arrangement) CREDIT CARDS : Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Solo, and Eurocheques accepted. BROADBAND : We have FREE wireless broadband in the suites and bar area of the hotel. All rooms are available after 5.00pm. However if you wish to arrive earlier, please give prior notice. Deposit: £100.00 at the time of booking. (non returnable) Payment in full if booked less than one month before arrival. Balance: One month before arrival date. Cancellation Policy: Deposit is non-returnable. Up to one month before arrival date - deposit only. More than one month - up to 50% of balance owing. This will, however be at the discretion of the owners. |
| THE LOCATION The Location is well placed for outdoor activities on and around Dartmoor with a host of interesting places to visit such including many National trust properties, The Garden House and The Eden Project. Our lovely market town of Tavistock, winner of this years "Market Town of the Year" award, is only a very short drive away and yet we are only 9 miles from the city of Plymouth with it's shopping, nightlife and culture. |
| DARTMOOR & YELVERTON The small town of Yelverton is situated within the Dartmoor National Park and is ideally placed for exploring and touring the West Country. The immediate area offers beautiful walks across the moorland where wild ponies are a delightful feature. There are opportunities for golf, riding and fishing all within easy reach, and the ancient stannary town of Tavistock with its pannier market is only 5 miles away. There are a wealth of National Trust properties nearby including Sir Francis Drake's home. Buckland Abbey and the greater naval City of Plymouth is less than 9 miles away with theatres, restaurants and many leisure facilities. |
| HOW TO FIND US From PLYMOUTH on A386. (look for sign posts to Tavistock...there are none for Yelverton!) At Yelverton roundabout, take Tavistock exit. After 200 yards look for brown sign on LHS. Points RIGHT down Grange Road. Turn RIGHT at T-junction. Hotel is 300yards on LHS immediately after road narrows. From PRINCETOWN on B3212 As above. From TAVISTOCK on A 386 Come through Horrabridge and after about 1 mile start looking for a brown sign on LHS saying Harrabeer Country House Hotel and another shortly after saying Hotel. Go down Harrowbeer Lane. We are on LHS immediately after road narrows. If you overshoot this entrance don't panic...go up to roundabout and follow other instructions!! |
