Haisthorpe Guest House

A warm welcome and friendly atmosphere awaits you from Diana Wilkinson and family at Haisthorpe Guest House in Windermere Village. Haisthorpe House is a former gentleman's residence built in 1897 that has now been tastefully converted into a guest house, offering bed and breakfast accommodation.

It is situated in a secluded but central area of Windermere in England's Lake District (Cumbria, UK). It is only a few minutes walk from the village centre and the train / coach station and a ten minute stroll to Bowness centre, making it an ideal base for touring and walking holidays or for simply taking in the beautiful scenery.

Private parking is available at the rear of the building. We also offer free use of Parklands Country Club; a nearby private leisure club for guests staying with us, where full use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gymnasium, squash and badminton courts, bar and snooker facilities are available.

Rooms

We offer a selection of comfortable, tastefully decorated bedrooms. All rooms are non-smoking with wireless Internet access and have an ensuite bathroom. Each room is provided with a television, radio alarm, hair dryer and hospitality tray including Fairtrade tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits supplied locally by The Fairground Staveley.

In the mornings you can help yourself to our breakfast buffet which consists of cereals, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, tea, a cafetiere of fresh coffee or herbal teas. You can follow this with a full English breakfast. Our bacon and Cumberland sausages are provided from Huddleston's Butchers, the eggs are local free range and fresh bread is provided by the local Oak St. Bakery.
If preferred, a lighter or continental breakfast is available and a vegetarian option can be prepared if ordered the night before.
