| GYVES HOUSE is a Victorian building circa 1900 that has been thoroughly modernised while maintaining many period features. All rooms have high ceilings and many have original fireplaces. Wireless internet is now provided in all rooms free. We are a recently established guest house ideally located just 30m from the sea, while the town centre and pier are only 3mins walk putting us well within walking distance of all local amenities. Eastbourne is well appointed with shops, theatres, bars and restaurants that cater for a wide variety of tastes and styles. |

| We have 5 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and 1 single room available. All the rooms in Gyves House are en-suite and centrally heated. They feature colour television with remote control and have tea and coffee facilities. Hair dryer and iron/ironing board is available on request. |

| All the rooms at Gyves House are priced from £30 per person. While every effort is made to accommodate people it is rare for us to be able to let a double room for single occupancy. We take all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American express. There is a 2% charge on credit cards. We require 50% of the booking in advance which is non refundable. In the event of cancellation, one weeks notice is needed or the booking for all rooms has to be paid for. Please note: this is a strictly no smoking establishment! | Eastbourne itself features a pier, children's adventure parks, golf, crazy golf, boat tours and cruises, art galleries, museums and theatres to name a few. Close by there is Birling Gap, Beachy head, a 575ft chalk cliff, the seven sisters, the south downs, country parks, castles, ruins and of course the beautiful clean beach and world famous carpet gardens. also just a short drive away are some fabulous historic villages such as Rye, East Dean, Herstmonceux, Battle, Wilmington with its long man carved into the hillside and wonderful Alfriston. There are also various local events such as tennis week, airborne, Eastbourne extreme, weekly performances of 1812 overture at the redoubt including firework finale and the Eastbourne beer festival plus many more. |
