The area is excellent for walking with lots of well-planned walks, long and short. ½ mile from The Offas Dyke Path. The historic town of Presteigne is 1 mile away, which has a 500 yard old tapestry "The entry into Jerusalem" in its lovely church. The completely refurbished judges lodgings and court room is well worth a visit.
While in Presteigne why not eat at one of the many pubs, Gumma Farm is within easy reach of many activities for the more energetic.

Little further a field near Rhayader one of Mid Wales main attractions (The Elan-Valley Dams and Reservoirs).It supplies millions of gallons of fresh water to Birmingham through 73 miles of piping.
You can also visit "GILGRIN" kite feeding station near Rhayader you are guaranteed to see dozens when they come to feed every afternoon. Combining both attractions make a lovely day out.

Ludlow boasts its 3 week festival Shakespear live in the Castle, plus lots of well known artists preforming at various venues (ask for details).

Presteigne renowned festival of classical music. Also the sheep music gathering of folk musicians.

Directions
From Presteigne head west on the B4356 sign posted (WHITTON) in less than a miles look for (Discoed) sign on your left in 50 yards on bridge (GUMMA FARM B&B) sign, also signposted (CASCOB) follow signs.
From KNIGHTON southbound on B4355 to PRESTEIGNE turn right on to the B4356 follow the above instructions.
