This is not an Hotel but our home and while you are with us we try to make it your home. We are ideally situated on the edge of the Forest of Bowland within easy reach of the Lakes and Dales yet only 7 minutes from junction 33 of the M6 or 10 minutes from Lancaster University. Located only 20 minutes by car from the centre of Lancaster, Greenbank Farmhouse is ideally situated for visitors both to the Town and University and those wishing to venture further afield to explore the Lakes and Dales. Set in the hamlet of Lower Greenbank, Greenbank Farmhouse offers a choice of beautifully appointed rooms - with equally beautiful views over the fells, greaves and gills from which the rooms take their name. We are open all year round and with Central Heating throughout, you need never fear the cold Lancashire winters (or summers!). |
| Catshaw Greave Double £55.00 (for two sharing) Catshaw Greave is a cosy double with a huge window through which the visitor can see the Fell from which the room takes its name. It has an ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath. Damas Gill Double or twin £55.00 (for two sharing) Damas Gill is our largest room and boasts a 'Loo with a view'! - looking, as it does, over the fields towards the Fells. The ensuite has a shower over the bath. The room takes its name from the river which has to be crossed to reach the Green Bank. Damas can be either a twin. Sparrow Gill Double or twin £55.00 (for two sharing) Sparrow Gill overlooks our spacious front garden and takes its name from the river, which marks the boundary of the Abbeystead Estate. It has a compact shower ensuite and can also be twin or super king double. |    |

Turn here, follow road under railway, take 2nd on the right signed 'Abbeystead, Trough of Bowland', Anyons Lane. Follow up past 'Fleece Inn' then Follow +++ Leave M6 at junc 33, turn left onto A6, 200 yards on turn left signed "Abbeystead, Trough of Bowland" Follow these signs past the 'Fleece Inn' Follow +++ Leave Uni. from main entrance and turn left onto A6.
