The mediaeval village of Norton is steeped in history. The picturesque village green has a duck pond and a Norman Church with underground tunnels leading to the safety of 'The Priory' and 'The Hermitage' used during the reformation.

Four minutes away is the Market Town of Stockton where the first railway ran from Darlington to Stockton, a twice weekly market and new shopping centre. Downriver the World Canoe Championships are held at the white water course.

You will find beautiful countryside - continue over the Yorkshire Moors to Whitby and Scarborough. Visit York and Durham cities. Edinburgh is a mere three hours drive away.
