| The Golden Lion Inn is gloriously located in one the most attractive villages in North Pembrokeshire, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Newport is situated within the Britain's only truly coastal National Park. The coastline is a magical area to explore with breathtaking panoramic views, where Preseli Hills fall gracefully to meet the sea. As a family run inn we put in extra care to ensure that every detail of your visit is of the highest standard and at the same time, creating relaxed and friendly atmosphere. |

| The Rooms We have 13 individually decorated rooms in a contemporary style. All rooms are featuring modern light oak furniture, paintings and photos of local beach scenery, beds with crisp cotton sheets and duvets, Melin Tregwynt products, complimentary Welsh Water, flat screen TVs, WiFi, Fairtrade Teas & Coffee facilities and Luxury Gilchrist & Soames of London Toiletries. We are currently graded 3* Visit Wales, awaiting that extra "little one" to be graded 4* in 2009. Room rates per room with cooked breakfast: Single room £45- £50, Double or Twin Room £65-£75 and Family room £90 - £100. The Food Start your day with a traditional Welsh breakfast, including a selection of fresh juices and fair-trade coffee and tea, with award winning Preseli Gold Sausages and Free range Eggs, accompanied of course by the morning papers. During the warm summer mornings breakfast can be taken on the quiet patio or gardens... Our team of talented & enthusiastic chefs prepare an evening menu based on seasonal local produce - with favourite being Welsh Black Beef steaks, Preseli Lamb Chops, variety of carefully prepared locally caught Seafood dishes, daily changing specials...and many more. Our restaurant has recently been refurbished in contemporary style using Welsh Slate, Oak Furniture, subtle lighting and plenty of cosy corners... "It was gone nine on a Sunday night and we were starving. Happening on the Golden Lion, in Newport, we burst through its door to beg for sustenance. They were supposed to stop serving at nine, but the barmaid just smiled. There was just one locally caught lobster left, and homemade apple and raspberry crumble for pudding. | The Things to Do Whether you're looking for adrenalin fuelled adventure or simply some peace and quiet, Golden Lion is the ideal location to suit the most diverse of travellers. There's so much outdoor action available in Pembrokeshire, you won't be able to fit it all in one trip. For adrenalin junkies - take the sea kayaking, taste the waves for a bit of surfing and finish your day with kite surfing, windsurfing or sailing! And if that's not enough for you, there's Coasteering, Pembrokeshire's gift to the outdoor world. There's even some excellent Mountain Biking to be had in Preselis, but you may not have energy left for that! Did you know that Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs for 186 miles, passes 58 beaches and 14 harbours? With it's spectacular, ever changing and dramatic landscape it is the only Coastal National Park in UK.
