Details: Built in 1700 in typical 18th century gothic style, Glen Free Bed and Breakfast is located on the fringe of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, set in beautiful countryside in the village of Holme-on-Swale, on the B6267 just 1 mile from the A1. It is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding region, including the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park and Herriot Country. The market town of Thirsk is just 7 miles away, with Ripon, Bedale and Masham all within a short drive. Stunning Wensleydale and Teesdale are also close by, together with a range of attractions and activities to suit all tastes and pockets. There are numerous footpaths/cycle tracks right on the doorstep and walkers and cyclists are very welcome. Glen Free is also in an ideal location for business travellers, being within easy reach of Teesside, North Yorkshire, County Durham and the Vale of York, with the A1 and A19 just a short drive away. It makes an ideal stopover for travellers on their way north/south needing a comfortable room for the night. Wireless internet is available to allow guests to catch up on those essential emails. Accommodation: Glen Free is "very much home from home" and accommodation is provided in two bedrooms; 1 double and 1 family room. Both rooms include a colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A lounge is also available with colour TV.  Dining: A full English breakfast made where possible from the finest local Yorkshire ingredients is served every day in our dining room.
