Red Kite Cottage is a converted stable annexed to the farmhouse, which was originally a Welsh Longhouse. It is situated half a mile south of the friendly town of Rhayader with stunning views over the Wye Valley and surrounding hills. The cottage offers a comfortable kitchen/living area with TV and video facilities. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker and fridge. There is one 4ft double room and one family room containing two double beds (one 4ft 6in and one 4ft). Cot available on request. Bathroom facilities include Power shower. Bed linen provided. Electricity included in the rent.  Gigrin is the Red Kite Feeding Centre. Wild red kites can be seen feeding daily, together with buzzards, ravens and other birds of prey. Our 2 mile nature trail, through the 200 acre working farm, has a wealth of birds and other wildlife. Badgers can be seen on selected evenings via CCTV.  |
