Conveniently located in the heart of the beautiful market town of Uppingham, the hotel provides the perfect base either for visitors exploring Rutland's many attractions or for the business traveller seeking a tranquil haven.
Each with over forty years of experience, Ian and Christine have the hospitality business in their blood, Ian as a chef in such establishments as the Grosvenor and theUniversity Arms in Cambridge, Christine in the front of house in hotels such as The Liverpool Adelphi and Gleneagles. As a team they opened and managed hotels for Rank and Post House before becoming management consultants to the catering industry.
In 1990 they inaugurated the Garden Hotel, which has charmed guests ever since.
