| This beautiful cottage is set within a secluded garden in the centre of the historic town of Petworth. It has its own entrance and private sitting room, with a small kitchen that can be used for long-stay visitors or for those who would prefer to cater for themselves. There are many restaurants and pubs in the area for evening meals. A very good breakfast is available and included in the price, with a varied menu and most preferences are catered for. The fridge is well stocked and there is a terrace for guests to enjoy in the summer months.
Petworth House, with its many Turner paintings, and the Capability Brown Park is within a few minutes' walk, and Arundel Castle, Goodwood House and Chichester Cathedral are within a 30 minute drive. You will be assured of a warm welcome and we look forward to seeing you.
Road Directions From Chichester take A283 to Petworth. In town as road becomes one-way, Garden cottage is on the right hand side, just 200yds in front of the main gates of Petworth House; it has it's own small gate with the name of the house , clearly displayed. From north on A283 to Petworth follow one-way system to T junction. Turn right still following one-way system through town until T junction with A283. Turn right & Garden Cottage is on right. Pulborough Station on Victoria line 15 minutes by taxi. Gatwick Airport 45 minutes. Heathrow 1 1/2 hours. |
