Fronallt is based at the east foothills of Cader Idris.
The property is located in ideal an ideal location for hill walking and cycling, or just relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views. Fronallt offers Bed & Breakfast accommodation.
Fronallt is situated within walking distance of Dolgellau. It's a Grade II listed building. Orchard to the side and through it a path into the countryside and a Precipice Walk. Lawn to the front and back, also parking. Kitchen with oil-fired Aga cooker. Auto washer, microwave and fridge/freezer. Dining Room. Lounge with access to the conservatory and garden. Barbeque area in orchard. Two bedrooms, sleeps 6. One en-suite. Other has private bathroom. T.V, tea tray and ironing facilities available.
Outside, there are tables and chairs for barbeques and relaxation. The area is full of delightful places for children to play and discover the fun of the countryside. Further down the valley, there is some good trout and salmon fishing - permits available locally. A tiny brook runs by the house and there is a swing for children on the apple tree in the orchard. Also, free range chickens.
Fronallt was depicted in the 'Traditional Homes' magazine a few years back because of its quaintness and special architecture. Windows were renewed in 1990 from an oak tree felled near Dolgellau and made by a local carpenter, also the block flooring in hallway and dining room. Cyclists are welcome. Locked shed available for bikes. Dogs welcome by arrangement. |
