| Welcome Located just off Southsea seafront, in the historic city of Portsmouth, we are a small unique boutique hotel. We have lovingly restored a large Edwardian house to its former glory retaining many original features, including a beautiful open fireplace in the lounge area. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms have been individually and tastefully designed to the highest standard, offering stylish and comfortable surroundings.... A home from home.   Our aim is to cater for our guests every need whether it be breakfast in bed, special dietary requirements, a feather pillow or a picnic hamper for a special day out. If your stay with us is for a weekend break, a special occasion or business we guarantee that once you sample the uniqueness we offer you will never want for anything more from another hotel. | Your Stay At the Florence House Hotel you'll find that luxury comes as standard. Our rooms are immaculately furnished and designed; from antique Victorian to contemporary furnishings. All rooms have private en-suite facilities including a luxury spa bath in one of our deluxe / family rooms. The following come as standard. As well as the above we also offer cotbeds for our younger guests, the use of irons and hairdryers and a ground floor bedroom for those who find the stairs too much.   We also have a licensed lounge bar with comfortable furnishings, relaxing background music and the cosy ambience of an open fireplace on those cold winter days! Guests may relax and take their breakfast in the lounge area if preferred, or simply sit and enjoy a fine wine, cognac, or even a cocktail in the evening.   |
| Facilities We also cater for special occasions; intimate wedding parties (including champagne breakfasts), small business functions, private parties and graduation celebrations. Any occasion you wish to celebrate we can cater for. Here at the Florence House Hotel we don't believe that all our guests are the same which is why we don't offer a set breakfast menu instead we tailor make your breakfast! We offer freshly baked bread in house, free range eggs and fresh produce, herbal teas and a wide selection of coffees and juices. So whether you enjoy continental breakfast, vegetarian, full english or even a romantic salmon and champagne breakfast in bed, we can do it! As well as breakfast we also serve food 24 hours a day including fresh pastries, snacks and sandwiches, hot meals and fine dining; all dietary requirements catered for including children!  |
