Salmon & Trout fishing on the famous River Spey or boat fishing on one of the many lochs. Golf with several superb courses in the area including our own picturesque but challenging Grantown course. Bird Watching. Hill Walking. Pony Trekking. Canoeing (Inlcuding White Water). Climbing. Shooting & Stalking. Mountain Biking. In Winter/Spring Ski-ing and Snowboarding at Cairngorm or the Lecht which are both just a short drive away.

At a slower pace there are many beautiful walks in the Pine Woods around Grantown or along the banks of the River Spey, where you can enjoy the magnificent local scenery of rivers, lochs and heather covered moors dominated by the snow-capped Cairngorm Mountains
The area is a haven for many species of rare birds including Scottish Crossbills, Crested Tits, Capercaillie and the Osprey which can be viewed from the RSPB observation point at the nearby Abernethy Forest/Loch Garten Nature Reserve.
The neighbouring villages of Aviemore and Carrbridge offer many attractions for the whole family such as the Landmark Forest Heritage Park, with its adventureland, Timber Trail and Wild Water Roller Coaster.
Grantown also provides an ideal base for touring the distilleries along the famous Highland Malt Whisky Trail, and the many historical Buildings/Castles found in the locality such as Balmoral, Cawdor and Elgin Cathedral.
