| Lynton and Lynmouth Situated on the glorious north coast of Devon, where Exmoor meets the sea, Lynton and Lynmouth are often referred to as the 'Little Switzerland of England'. The charming village of Lynton, perched 600ft. above the sea, is favoured with excellent views of the moors and wooded valleys. Below, the waters of the East and West Lyn rivers converge at Lynmouth and both villages are joined by an old-world water operated cliff railway. Nearby Exmoor National Park possesses some of the most varied and spectacular scenery in the country and plays host to a wealth of wildlife. The diverse landscape is ever changing according to season, light and weather and is best appreciated on foot or horseback. Fishing, golf, tennis, sailing and bird watching are also commonplace activies. |
