After your journey you can be sure of a warm welcome with complimentary tea/coffee and home made cakes, if you arrive in the afternoon; just chill in the residents lounge, this is the beginning of your break. Teas can be served in our pretty gardens in summer and cosy log fires set in ingle-nook fire places in winter ensure a warm welcome all the year round. Fernhill Lodge provides new age comfort with old world charm; the emphasis is on an informal, relaxed atmosphere and Welsh home cooking. | The rooms are cosy and relaxing with en-suite facilities. The beds are so comfortable with luxury bedding and Egyptian cotton sheets that feel like silk to the touch. The rooms are warm and pampering, all en-suite with baths and powerful showers, the beds so comfortable and the nights so quiet that you may find it difficult to get up for breakfast, which is a leisurely affair; lots of choice for meat eaters, with the best local sausages and bacon, and vegetarians alike. We have three welcoming double bedrooms at Fernhill Lodge that have been individually designed to ensure you have a relaxing and very comfortable stay. |
| Food at Fernhill Lodge We are fully licensed with an a-la carte restaurant which caters for all dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan and coeliac. Breakfast: We love our food at Fernhill Lodge and always use sausages and bacon from our local butchers. Breakfasts are a relaxed affair, starting at 8.30 for the earlier riser and available till 10.00 if you want a lie in and can resist the smell of freshly brewed coffee and just baked muffins wafting up the staircase. Breakfast is ordered the previous evening by completing a menu check list. Dinner - A-la-carte Restaurant: Eating is an important part of the Fernhill experience. If you are planning something special - a birthday, anniversary, a romantic break, or just time away, Fernhill Lodge will tick all the right boxes. Enjoy a 3 course dinner while listening to soft instrumental music playing in the background which adds to the relaxed ambience of the dining room. Our cooking is very important to us, take a look at our sample menu. Our way is the fresh way, the seasonal way, the simple way. We like to change our menu regularly according to which foods are in season. All of our food served in the restaurant is cooked fresh using local produce, this includes, meat, dairy, fish and vegetables; eggs are always free-range. We support the local economy by buying locally as we promote quality, freshness and the reduction of food miles. When our guests dine at Fernhill Lodge we aim to make each meal a memorable occasion,we offer superb evening meals based on fine home cooking. Our aim is to leave you satisfied with that 'I definitely recommend eating here to all my friends' feeling. Soak up a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying a selection of fine wines, spirits and beers which are available to accompany your meal or to be enjoyed while relaxing in the house or garden.
