Erw Fair, pronounced Air-oo Vire, is an 18th Century former slate manager's home. The name means Mary's Acre.![]() We are centrally located on the High Street of Llanberis with private parking facilities for up to 9 cars and a secure area for bikes and cycles. We are a totally non smoking establishment with a lounge area with maps and guides available, All rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities along with colour TV. Martin and Sally acquired the Erw Fair in July 2003 and since then have offered a warm welcome to guests old and new. Since moving into their new home they have re-carpeted throughout and re-decorated all public areas and a majority of the bedrooms to make your stay even more comfortable.
Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am, or earlier if required. Packed lunches are also available, if ordered the night before, using all local fresh produce where possible. Including: 2 cheese and ham rolls, plain crisps, fruit, chocolate bars, cereal bar and drink. We are pleased to fill flasks at no extra charge although a donation to the mountain rescue is always welcome. |

| Conference Room We can now offer you a private conference facility for up to 14 delegates. This is housed in our Sun Room which has a private toilet facility attached. Additionally there is a private access allowing you to have your conference or meeting in private without being disturbed by other guests. There is direct access to the dining room for your buffet lunch - click here to view a typical menu. Tea, coffee and biscuits can be served to you as required. Internet access (BT Highway) is also available on request. Function Time This area can also be made available to you should you have a Party, Christening, Funeral Tea, Wedding Breakfast or other type of function. | Local Area If you have any energy left after climbing Snowdon, or perhaps taking the easier route on the train, there are many other activities to enjoy in the local area. Here are just a few of them. Llanberis Lake Railway The Llanberis Lake Railway will be the highlight of your visit to Snowdonia. From your seat in the comfortable enclosed coaches you can enjoy spectacular views of Snowdon and the surrounding high mountains. A specially adapted coach is available for wheel chair users. The station has a café & gift shop that sells many unique souvenirs. For more information visit www.lake-railway.co.uk National Slate Museum The Welsh Slate museum opened in May 1972 as part of the National Museum of Wales. It is a living, working museum set amongst the towering slate tips of Dinorwig quarry. The museum building is sited in the original Victorian workshops built in 1870. You'll discover the amazing powers of pumped storage hydro-electricity in a totally entertaining and educational environment. Admission to the centre is free and there is heaps to interest visitors of all age groups. For more information visit www.electricmountain.co.uk Dolbadarn Castle This castle, one of Prince Llewelyns strongholds, is situated near Llanberis, Gwynedd, off the A4086It can be viewed sitting above Llyn Padarn lake. The walls are made of unmortared slate. Other activities in the area include: Castles, steam trains, boat hire, steamer trips, and beautiful waterfalls to view, horse riding, bird watching, indoor and outdoor climbing and many walks around and about the area.
