Welcome to Elmfield House, a family-run guest house, situated in the heart of Wensleydale, the jewel of North Yorkshire Dales. Based in Arrathorne, adjacent to James Herriot Country and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, Elmfield House is situated between Middleham, the horse racing centre of Yorkshire; the bustling market towns of Leyburn, Bedale, Richmond and Thirsk; and Masham the beer brewing capital of Yorkshire. Our guest house - which boasts excellent accommodation and the best in local produce - is also an ideal base to explore County Durham, the glories of the North Yorkshire Dales, the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the region's coastline. Elmfield House is a four-star guest house run by the Towning family based in the heart of Wensleydale. Elmfield also enjoys a four diamond and Silver Award from the English Tourist Board and a badge of merit for its breakfast from Deliciously Yorkshire, the organisation that supports local food produce in the region. Based in Arrathorne, between the market towns of Leyburn, Bedale, Richmond and Thirsk - Elmfield provides an excellent base for exploring some of England's most stunning landscapes, from High Force in County Durham, to the picturesque town of Hawes, famous for Wensleydale Cheese, to the bustling town of Richmond with its castle, museums and gift shops.
