We're only 2 minutes from the centre of Windermere village which offers a choice of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy, which is why we have chosen to only cater for breakfasts. All our rooms are individual in their own way some with exposed beams others with high ceilings and some on the ground floor, but they are always kept clean, also due to our location in Windermere some of our rooms have excellent views over the roof tops to the surrounding countryside.
Facilities in our rooms include en-suite shower or bath, tea and coffee making facilities, TV with 10 channels, hair dryer and ironing board (irons available at reception). At night we don't expect you to be back in the house when we close the front door, so you have a key allowing you to come and go as you please. We only ask for people to respect other guests when returning late in the evening. |
PUBLIC ROOMS
On the first floor there is a unique lounge area for guests to sit and read, watch TV or just let time pass by with views out over Windermere and the sun shining through the stained glass windows in the evening this is a charming area to wind down and catch up on the day's events. Then on the ground floor are our two breakfast rooms offering a bright spacious area to enjoy our continental selection and freshly prepared Cumbrian breakfast. In one of our rooms we have a grandfather clock which seems to add a little charm every quarter hour when it chimes. |

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Children
£15.00 for children sharing a room with two adults. Normal rates apply for children in a room to themselves.
Short Breaks
Short breaks are usually a minimum of 2 nights; prices are based on two people sharing the room and may not be available during peak periods i.e. Christmas, New Year, Easter and some Bank Holidays. Terms available on request.
Confirmation terms
All reservations must be confirmed with a deposit of £50.00 per room this becomes non-refundable 7 days before your arrival date. In the case of credit card confirmations this will be deducted from your credit card account.
Arrival and Departure Times
Bedrooms are usually available for occupation from 2.00pm on the day of arrival and we ask that they are vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure.
Cancellation
If you cancel a booking less than 2 days before arrival, fail to arrive, or leaving before the original departure date we reserve the right to claim the total booking cost. We recommend you consider holiday cancellation insurance cover in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Parking
Car parking to the rear of Ellerthwaite lodge is free to paying guests.
Pets
Pets are welcome in the Hotel at a small charge of £5.00 per night; however we do not permit animals in the restaurant or to be left all day in the room.
Liability
We don't accept liability for damage caused to vehicles or owners property. |
