| Elford House is a beautiful, sympathetically-renovated Edwardian guest house ideally situated for those holiday makers seeking a base near the centre of Whitby with the beach, harbour, shops and all other local amenities just five minutes walk away. We have a private car park so you can park it up and forget about it until your holiday is over. For the more adventurous the North Yorkshire Moors Park and railway is on our doorstep, making Elford House an excellent base to visit the many famous landmarks within North Yorkshire. We are open all year so you can enjoy Whitby and the surrounding area whatever the season. |
| We invite you to make yourselves comfortable and at home, to relax and enjoy our warm and friendly relaxed atmosphere, which, we find, has brought guest back to Elford House time after time. Please note for everyone's comfort and enjoyment Elford House is a totally non- smoking environment. We provide a light, healthy cereal breakfast for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own room and supply you with fresh milk and juice delivered to your door. Because we do not cook a breakfast, this reflects in the price. We pride ourselves on our totally non-smoking, clean air environment. All our rooms are en-suite, fully and luxuriously equipped. We welcome children and have a superb family room, with games and a DVD player (bring your children's favourite DVDs with you). |
| Accommodation We have a variety of beautifully decorated rooms, some with panoramic views of Whitby Abbey and the North Yorkshire Moors. All our rooms are light, airy, spacious and comfortably furnished. They are always in beautiful condition. |

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, colour TV and radio. We serve a complimentary breakfast tray to our guests, and tea and coffee-making facilities are in every room. All rooms are elegantly and comfortably furnished and are in beautiful condition. Open all year, we do not cater for pets and all our rooms are non-smoking. | Finding Us 1. The A171 from Guisborough joins the A169 from Pickering a few miles west of Whitby. Follow the A171 into Whitby until you come to a set of traffic lights where the A171 turns right to Scarborough. At these traffic lights, TURN LEFT - Elford House is about 25 metres on the right. 2. From Middlesborough on the A174, follow the signs for Whitby until you cross a roundabout and go down a hill with a park on the left. At the roundabout at the bottom of this hill, follow the Scarborough signs (leave the roundabout at three o'clock) - Elford House is a couple of hundred metres on the left, just before the traffic lights. 3. From Scarborough on the A171, ignore the first Whitby turn (also signed to the Abbey) and cross the high bridge over the river. Go straight across the traffic lights and Elford House is 25 metres on the right. |
