Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Lake District
Welcome…
Sue and Ian offer you a warm welcome to Eden Green Guest House; a late Victorian House built in 1878 from traditional Lakeland Slate.
We are an ideal base for walking the many fells the Lake District has to offer and also only two or three minutes flat walk to the town centre. A ten minute walk will take you to the beautiful shores of Derwent Water and also the Theatre By The Lake.
We offer secure cycle storage, and for the "occasional" wet day we have a drying room to prepare your gear for the next days activities. |
Facilities…
We have a variety of rooms including twins, doubles, triples, family and singles. All of our rooms are en-suite and are equipped to a very high standard with T.V.'s, excellent hospitality tray, hairdryer, radio alarm, umbrella and soft fluffy bath robes. We provide an excellent selection of toiletries and also keep an extra supply in case you have forgotten something.
All our rooms are centrally heated and some of them have superb views of Skiddaw and Latrigg. Some of our rooms have radio/CD players and some have TV/DVD/Video players. |
Food…
All our breakfast ingredients are sourced locally with Cumbrian sausage and local dry cured bacon. Our eggs are collected from a local farm and are free range.
As well as our English breakfast we offer kippers and can also provide a lighter breakfast if requested. We also offer a full vegetarian breakfast including veggie sausage. We cater for all special diets but would appreciate being notified in advance to ensure we have sufficient supplies.
We offer packed lunch for a small charge and are more than happy to fill your flasks with tea, coffee or hot water at no extra charge. |
How to find us…
From the M6, Junction 40, follow A66 towards North Lakes/Keswick for 16/17 miles. Leave the A66 at A591 signposted Keswick/Windermere to the bottom of the slip road take a left. Go downhill to the T junction, turn right signed Town Centre. Continue past the pub 'Two Dogs' on your left, and the petrol station under the railway bridge and take your 2nd left into Blencathra Street. The road bears sharply to the right, follow the road and Eden Green is towards the top of the road on your left hand side. |
