Ross and Janet Anderson offer you a warm welcome at East Lochhead Self Catering Cottages...

...which is also home to their Jacob Sheep, Chickens; Jade the horse and Olga the Hungarian Vizsla. It is located in beautiful rolling Renfrewshire countryside with views of the nearby Barr Loch.

Since purchasing East Lochhead in 1994 the farm buildings and surroundings have been carefully transformed into attractive, award winning self-catering cottages. Reflecting Ross's environmental background. environmentally responsible practises were adopted in building works whilst re-cycling, composting, energy conservation using local services remain an integral part of our daily routine.

In 2004 and 2006 Ross and Janet's efforts were rewarded by becoming the National Champions for the Hospitable Climates Energy Initiative, and winning a Thistle Award for Sustainable Tourism. Since 2001 East Lochhead has achieved a Gold Level in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Lochwinnoch is located 20 miles west of Glasgow. It has a lovely setting situated between the moors of Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park and the Castle Semple Loch where bird watching and sailing are popular activities. The area has a rich cultural and industrial heritage. It has Pubs, Cafes, Visitor Centres, Shops and a train link to Glasgow. Sustran's Cycle Route 7 passes adjacent to our land.

Accommodation
There are five cottages each differing in size, layout and furnishings arranged around a traditional Scottish farm courtyard. They were originally old barns and byres and have been rehabilitated over a ten year period to a high standard. All are south facing, well insulated and warm throughout the year with full gas fired central heating.

The cottages and the business are inspected annually by Visit Scotland and have always received a four star grading for quality. The Green Business Tourism Scheme inspects biannually and to this date East Lochhead has consistently received Gold status. We believe these awards to be an accurate reflection of the environmental management efforts made on a daily basis.

Bed linen and towels are provided.
Wi-fi is available
A laundry/washing service is available for those cottages without washing machines
