Welcome to Wisteria, Gardener's Bothy and The Smithy, our Dorney Self Catering Apartments providing quality accommodation in a unique location.![]() The apartments are set in the grounds of a Tudor house in a rural, peaceful location in the village of Dorney. The River Thames and Boveney Lock are a short stroll away and Windsor and Eton are less than three miles from Dorney. Maidenhead, Bray, Cookham, Bourne End and Henley are within half an hour's drive or less and Beaconsfield and Oxford are within easy reach by car. If you plan to visit London we recommend you take the train from Slough station to Paddington where the underground trains or buses will take you directly to the centre in less than an hour. We recommend a car for the duration of your stay. Each of our apartments can accommodate singles, couples or a family, and when combined they can be block-booked by groups of up to 14 people (some on sofa beds). Tinker is one of our three Border Terriers. Their bark is much worse than their bite and they try to get in your way when you drive towards our gate. We welcome pets, but would appreciate notice of what and how many you intend to bring with you. We attract regular visits from families (Lego land is a 15 minute drive away) (Dorney Court is a five minute drive). ![]() The historic centres of Eton and Windsor, divided by the Thames, can be easily reached, either by a pleasant stroll along the Thames Path or by car in about ten minutes. There is a large Sainsbury Superstore within 10 minutes' drive which is on your way if you come via the M4.

Gardener's Bothy is a first floor barn conversion with two bedrooms - the second is very cosy but small, with a window. There is a single bed in it, but we can fit in two when children want to sleep in there. ![]() The main bedroom has a king sized bed. The apartment has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. ![]() The kitchen includes a hob and oven, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. There is plenty of seating and a television in the living area. |
Wisteria is a newly refurbished ground floor apartment with one double bedroom with twin beds and a fitted wardrobe. There is a living/dining room, open plan kitchen and bathroom with WC, basin and shower.![]() The apartment has sofa chairs that open out to form single 3ft wide beds and can sleep a maximum of 5. The bathroom is newly refurbished as is the kitchen which has all mod cons, including cooker hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. There is a dining table and chairs and a television with DVD player. Wisteria is easily accessible, being on one level and it is possible to park very close to the entrance. The new bathroom has a WC, basin and a fully enclosed shower unit decorated in fresh new colours. |
The Smithy is a compact ground floor double aspect studio apartment with separate WC and shower room. The kitchenette includes a two-ring hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. There are two single sofa beds that open out into reasonable sized beds and are comfortable.![]() The Smithy sleeps 2 - any more and it is quite a crush. The Smithy is often booked in conjunction with one of the other apartments. There is independent heating, a table and chairs and a television. Again, it is possible to park close by to the entrance if you wish. A very inviting apartment. Everything is to hand. The seating converts very neatly into two beds and there is a shower room with basin and WC to your right as you enter. Because the room is double aspect it is very light and airy. Outside there is plenty of room for barbecues or for sitting and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. |
