The Chef owner Denis Rosembert has been in catering since 1973 and was trained on the Creole French Island of St Lucia, West Indies.

He opened his first restaurant in 1992 in Norwich City and his second in December 1997 in Easton Norwich "Des Amis" restaurant on Dereham Road.

St. Lucia, 'the Helen of the West Indies', lies roughly 1300 miles south-east of Florida, in the Windward islands. The Windwards are part of the Lesser Antilles, which are in turn part of the West Indies. The 238 square-mile island is 21 miles from its nearest neighbour, the French island of Martinique. It is just 24 miles north of St.Vincent and 100 miles north-west of Barbados.

Le Chateau Des Amis is situated in an exclusive development in Belle Vue Cas-en-Bas, Gros Islet, to the north of the island.

Le Chateau consist of 2 two-bedroom apartments (minimum of four adults sharing).
