| Dairy House Farm is a working arable and fruit farm and our home is set in the middle with views of open countryside in every direction. The original Georgian farmhouse was extended in 1876 into a wonderfully spacious home with large rooms and many typical Victorian ornamentations. We have a cosy guests' sitting room where the kettle is always on the boil and there is home made cake in the tin for tea, or any time of day that may suit! Aga cooked breakfasts with eggs from our own chickens ensure a delicious start to the day. Although the house has a completely rural setting, it is just a twenty minute stroll to a pub and shop in the village of Bradfield. We are also just one hour by train to London (Liverpool Street) from Manningtree Station (5 miles from here). |

| Dairy House is an ideal stepping stone to the Continent via the port of Harwich (Parkeston Quay), both for the ferries to the Netherlands and Scandinavia and also for embarking on cruises to the Baltic etc. We are also very convenient for a short or long stay for those wishing to just enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Suffolk villages just across the border and also the historic features of Colchester (the oldest recorded town in England) as well as Beth Chatto's Garden, Constable Country and the wonderful beaches along our coastline. (See Out and About) Visitors should be aware that it is now illegal to smoke in the house. |

| A Full English Breakfast is usually served, but Continental breakfast is also available, or have a mixture of the two! Tea/coffee trays are in the bedrooms, as well as remote control television with freeview, clock radio and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities are always available on request. We are able to provide long term parking ( for those going on cruises etc. from Harwich) £2 per day Caravan Club - CL Site Out of sight of the house, but just a two minute walk to the other end of the farmyard, we have a one acre flat lawned 5-van Certificated Location. The site is both quiet and secluded. Electric hook-ups are widely spaced and there is also a washroom with a toilet and a basin with hot and cold water. There is also chemical disposal and a drinking water standpipe. We encourage our caravanners to recycle where possible and there are bins for paper, bottles and tins which we then take to the recycling depots. We often have bed and breakfast guests in the house and friends or relatives of our guests on the caravan site - an ideal arrangement when space is at a premium in the caravan, or non-caravanners want to spend a holiday with caravanning friends. Prices for 2010 on the CL: £9 per night, inclusive of electricity. It is better to use the direction instructions in the Caravan Club CL site book (i.e. through Wix village).
