Things to Do

Dairy House Farm is the perfect spot for a quiet relaxing break, and provides a great base for exploring Herefordshire and the Welsh Marches. For the more active walkers, the 'Wye Valley Walk' passes through our farm. We are the ideal stop between Hay on Wye and Hereford. Shorter walks from the doorstep include exploring the15th Century Monnington Church, the cider apple orchards, the mile long 'Monnington Walk' avenue lined with scotch firs and yews, and Monnington 'Scar', a special sight of scientific interest.

Canoeing can be arranged in nearby Hay on Wye, picking you up from the river, and providing a complimentary sandwich for the next day.

We are happy to help organise fishing and shooting holidays, and if you are a large party, extra accommodation can be arranged with our neighbours.

The Three Rivers Ride crosses our farm, and again we are an ideal stopping place. We have paddocks and stables for your horses, and plenty of washing and drying rooms for you! Alternatively, you may just like to come and stay with your horse, exploring the local riding or venturing into the Welsh hills for a day.

For the shoppers and bookworms, Hay-on-Wye is the world's largest second-hand and antiquarian book centre. Nestled under Hay Bluff, from here you can explore the Black mountains which lie within the Brecon Beacons. Offas Dyke path runs along the ridge of the Black Mountains passing through Hay and on to Kington.

Hereford City is within easy reach of Dairy House Farm. The award-winning Mappa Mundi and Chained Library Exhibition is open all year round.
