One of Culdearn's special attractions is sampling from the extensive collection of over 50 specially selected malt whiskies, some of which are rare and many at cask strength, accompanied by interesting tasting notes. | Travelling to Culdearn House Culdearn House is located in Grantown on Spey in the heart of the beautiful Spey Valley. It is easy to reach whether travelling by road, rail, air, or sea, with good connections from all major routes. Grantown-on-Spey, the capital of Strathspey, was founded in the 18th Century, and nestles in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. It is an all year round centre. In addition to the obvious attractions of the area in spring and summer, there is excellent skiing and climbing in the Cairngorms in winter, and autumn is particularly beautiful with the heather and the autumnal colours in the trees and bracken, making Strathspey an ideal choice of venue for a short autumn break.Grantown is within easy reach of the West Highlands, Skye, Inverness, Loch Ness, Culloden, and Aviemore. |
