The Hotel

Craigerne House Hotel is a privately owned detached Victorian villa with delightful mature gardens commanding magnificent views of the Monadhliath and Cairngorm Mountains and Spey Valley.

Only 100 yards from the centre of the village and 20 yards from the first tee of the golf course, the hotel is well known for its tranquil ambience, good food and quiet, friendly atmosphere.

We have ample on site parking, secure storage for golf clubs, bikes etc… we also have excellent drying facilities for outdoor clothing and boots on those rare occasions when needed..

The Restuarant

The hotel Restaurant provides a cosy setting for four course evening meals prepared from locally supplied produce and complemented by a selection of good, modestly priced wines.

After dinner, enjoy a relaxing drink in one of our comfortable lounges.

A hearty full Scottish Breakfast is served in the separate breakfast room with a selection of cereals fruits and juices.

The Rooms

We have 12 comfortably furnished bedrooms. Most are twins but we also have doubles (including a four poster), singles and a family room. All rooms have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and most are en-suite with good views of the Spey Valley and surrounding hills.

Golf on Newton ore's superb 18 hole golf course, open to the public - advance booking of tee times available.

Walking - Newtonmore is also "The Walking Centre of Scotland" - The Wildcat Centre in the middle of the village has details of local walks and those further afield.

Other outdoor activitiesinclude Cycling including Laggan Wolftrax MTB trails, Pony Trekking, Bird Watching, Fishing and Water-sports on Loch Inch and Loch Morlich

Tourist attractions and historical sites in Newtonmore Village is the Highland Folk Museum, Waltzing Waters - an indoor water, light and music spectacle and the Clan MacPherson Museum. Nearby are the Highland Wildlife Park, the visitor centre at Dalwhinnie Distillery, The Reindeer Centre at Glenmore and the Rothiemurcus estate where many activities, such as walking, clay pigeon shooting and sled dog rides can be arranged.

Centrally situated in the Highlands - Craigerne House Hotel is just off the main A9 Perth to Inverness road. We are next to the Golf Course. Follow the signs to the Clubhouse and turn left immediately after the 1st tee.
