| A Beautiful Coastal Sanctuary Hope Cove is what the name conveys: a beautiful village situated along the rugged South Devon coastline. The Cottage Hotel, sitting above a secluded beach and within this coastline, complements what is a truly stunning location. The hotel has been in our family since 1973, with many of our guests returning year after year. It's the perfect escape for all seasons. The Cottage Hotel and Hope Cove offer all that is best about a classic British coastal Holiday -A blend of stunning scenery, a gently shelfing sandy beach, superb accommodation and excellent cuisine.A relaxing holiday atmosphere and traditional hospitality - with a style of service you thought had disappeared forever. | ![]() |
| The Hotel is set in two and a half acres of shrubs and lawns which lead, via sloping footpaths, the largest of two beaches, the delightful village of Hope Cove and spectacular coastal scenery. Through all the changes since its construction in 1890, the style of The Cottage Hotel has been preserved due mainly to the way it has been sensitively developed, especially since its real emergence as a hotel in the 1920s. |

| Accommodation You can choose from a selection of accommodation: Deluxe balcony rooms, doubles/twins, with or without balcony, family and single rooms. The majority have sea views. Many have king size beds, radio and television, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone with data port. Our deluxe balcony rooms also have a video player.

| The Cottage Restaurant The Cottage Restaurant is renowned among visitors and locals alike for the excellence of its cuisine and service…and, just as important, the superb views of the cove and harbour and out to sea beyond Bolt Tail. Watching the ships go by while enjoying a very English Breakfast is truly a memorable experience.
The Cottage House drinks selection caters for every taste - wines from around the world, mineral waters, and fruit juices, spirits, beers and lagers. The house wines are truly special. You can enjoy drinks from the cocktail bar, perhaps taking them into the intimate cabin created from the windjammer Herzogin Cecilie, wrecked just along the coast from Hope Cove in 1936. |
| Away from it all...but so close to everything Along this rugged Heritage coastline there are miles of delightful and varied scenery. This is one of the most beautiful holiday venues in the whole country and is almost completely protected.

You will be within easy reach of 10 golf courses. (We have special concessions at Bigbury Golf Course), tennis courts, riding and fishing - from breakwater and rocks or from a boat. It's ideal for sailing your own boat, with an open beach, a slipway at Inner Hope and parking for your trailer in our car park.
