| Nigel and Wendy Armitage look forward to welcoming you to their traditional family run Guesthouse in York (which we have owned and run for over 20 years) . Chelmsford Place is to be found at 85 Fulford Road, which is only 9-10 minutes walk from York's historic city centre either by the pleasant tree lined riverside walk which is only 400 yards away or by the main road. We also offer york university accommodation for visiting students or families of students as we are very close to the main campus and we also supply free maps for the whole facility. We are only a 4-5 minute walk and can offer B&B for the York Barbican Centre b&b york barbican
We have free parking which is essential in York !! All rooms have full central heating, hairdryers, LCD freeview television and tea and coffee-making facilities. A complimentary full English/Vegetarian/Vegan/Coeliac or Continental Breakfast is included in the price, and is served in the comfortable ground floor dining room.

Travelling from the NORTH: Take the A59 to York and turn right at the first roundabout onto the ring road marked Leeds A1237 Continue on this road for about 3 miles then join the A64 dual carriageway to York and take the second exit marked "York Centre/Selby A19" then follow this road into York for about 2 miles. We are situated 500 yards after the fork in the road on the right hand side. Travelling from the SOUTH: Join the A64 dual carriageway to York and take the 3rd exit marked "York Centre/Selby A19". Then follow this road into York for about 2 miles. We are situated 500 yards just after the fork in the road' on the right hand side.
