| The Chantry Private Hotel stands in Church Street, Dronfield, mid-way between Sheffield and Chesterfield. It is a small, friendly, family hotel with a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Luxuriously decorated throughout, it possesses great charm and character. The main part of the building is Georgian with two large Victorian bays. Parts of the hotel date back to 1250 A.D. when the Chantry Priests, from whom the hotel takes its name, stayed when visiting the nearby Parish Church. It is ideally situated for visitors to Sheffield (including the Meadowhall shopping complex), Chesterfield, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and the Peak District National Park. |
