If you enjoy Stonehenge, then you will be sure to find Avebury stone circle as, if not more fascinating. Woodhenge, which is thought to predate Stonehenge, is only a few hundred metres from Catkin Lodge, and although not as spectacular as its stone cousin, is certainly not to be missed.

Only a ten minute drive away is Salisbury, where you can visit the beautiful cathedral which boast the highest spire in the UK. Also not to be missed is the hill fort at Old Sarum, which was the site of the former town of Salisbury before it was rebuilt two miles away in the twelfth century.
