| AT THE HEART OF THE HOTEL is the Library Bar and Lounge, an informal and welcoming area which is incorporated within the distinctive tower. Its mellow oak paneling, book alcoves and glowing log fire in winter bring an atmosphere of relaxation at all times of the day. The perfect place to enjoy a light lunch or to meet friends for coffee, you'll find a fine selection of locally brewed ales and some of Scotland's finest malt whiskies - don't miss tasting the one that shares the name of your bedroom! | AS CASTLE VENLAW HAS GROWN from a family home, built over 200 years ago, to a comfortable hotel with all modern facilities, the bedrooms provide a breadth of accommodation with character, charm and individuality. Our twelve rooms have been decorated and refurbished to reflect the character of the Castle and range from double and family rooms to our new four poster romantic suites. At the top of the tower, a family suite, complete with children's den. Our rooms are large, with private bathrooms, and most enjoy the views over the picturesque town of Peebles and beyond. FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO combine pleasure with business, or celebrate a special occasion, the classically styled Adam Room is the ideal venue. Private dinners, meetings or small conferences can be arranged for up to 30 people and we'll be happy to provide all the assistance you may require to make your event a success.The Adam Room is also ideal for the smaller family wedding, while our grounds provide the perfect backdrop to the wedding photographs. |
