| California Farm is situated in the beautiful Cotswolds.... California Farm is situated in the beautiful Cotswolds and is surrounded by absolutely stunning countryside. Our family run farmhouse Bed & Breakfast accommodation is located one mile from the historic village of Charlton Kings. Our traditional limestone built farmhouse commands stunning, panoramic views over the beautiful Cotswold countryside as far as the eye can see and offers complete privacy and a distinct sense of "getting away from it all". We are fortunate to be completely secluded, yet within easy reach of all amenities and activities. Hallway into Living Room. Fully renovated to an exceptionally high standard, the farmhouse has a real feeling of a family home. In restoring this once dilapidated house, we have been able to retain many original features (beams, stone walls and fireplaces), with modern decoration and furnishings in the traditional farmhouse style. A lovely welcoming hallway leads through to a large guest lounge with deep comfortable sofas and a magnificent fireplace. The dining area is elegant without being austere and overlooks the garden and surrounding countryside. We have 3 bedrooms, one double and two twin rooms and two (including the double) are with full, ensuite bathroom. The rooms are all attractive - each with their own individual style and are simply but comfortably furnished. |

| There is a large, lawned garden with beautiful trees and shrubs, outside dining area and a pond. To the rear of the property are our stables. The long private drive leads to an ample parking area at the front of the property. There is a lovely restaurant within a 15 minute country walk which boasts a celebrity chef, Martin Blunos. The Cotswold Way runs thorough the village and from there you can experience the full beauty of this part of the Cotswolds. Many of our guests visit us as part of their walk along Britain's national trail. You will be warmly welcomed at California Farm with tea and home-made cakes on arrival and we will do everything we can to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. | Location Charlton Kings, often cited as Britain's largest village, lies within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is located to the South East of Cheltenham. The Cotswolds are known the world over as an area which is typically "English" with their drystone walls and charming building, open skies, rolling grasslands, beech woods and captivating villages. These are villages that seem unchanged since medieval times with narrow winding lanes, and thriving markets. There are welcoming pubs with log fires burning in the winter months, specialist shops selling local products, tea rooms, restaurants and antique shops to die for. |
