Bury Barn Cottage is part of a grade II listed site that has evolved since 1409, when Henry IV chose it as one of his estates, and predates the historical village of Pleshey that has a magnificent moat and bailie dating from before Richard II.![]() The dairy and arable farm that was working up until ten years ago has been transformed into a family home and business. The barn dates from the 14th century, and the architecturally unique grain barn, has been converted into a workshop now producing high quality hardwood furniture. We specialise in beds and bedroom furniture that is sent all over England, Europe and Japan. Our home is now an attractive and peaceful homestead offering splendid walks and a chance to explore the many historic houses and gardens of Essex. |
