Bulworthy Cottage was originally three miners' cottages, built in the early 18th century. These have been sympathetically renovated, keeping a host of original features such as beamed ceilings and stone fireplaces.The cottage now includes twin and double guest rooms, both with en suite facilities, central heating and colour television.

You can be assured of a warm welcome whether staying for one night as a break on a longer journey, or for several days using the cottage as a base to explore and enjoy the surrounding area.

Situated a short distance outside the hamlet of Stony Cross, Bulworthy is set in quiet countryside, secluded but not isolated, and offers relaxed surroundings for your stay.

Both Exmoor and Dartmoor are within a short drive, as are the Tarka Trail and the South West Coast Path. Other places of interest include the famous Rosemoor Gardens, Torrington with its Civil War Royalist connections, and a number of National Trust properties.

There are also a number of golf courses in the area to suit all levels of expertise, and if required we can book a round for you.

We offer a full choice of breakfasts, and if you wish to take advantage of our home prepared evening meals, a choice of two, three or four courses is always available, together with a selection of reasonably priced wines to complement these. Packed lunches are also available and in fine weather afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks can be served in the garden.

Bulworthy is open all year round except for Christmas. We regret we are unable to accept dogs and the layout of the property means that it is not suitable for young children or people with mobility problems.
