Bryn Guest House in Conwy, North Wales, is a large Victorian family home built circa 1860 which offers comfortable quality bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation.

It stands in extensive, walled gardens bordered on one side by the medieval towers and the town walls of Conwy, built by Edward I between 1283 and 1289. The guest house is an ideal accommodation base for exploring the whole of North Wales.

This comfortable non-smoking bed and breakfast accommodation has four bedrooms - three en-suite and one with private bathroom. Special diets are catered for including vegetarian, coeliac (celiac), gluten free, wheat free, lactose free etc.

Accommodation

Bryn offers the discerning traveller very spacious, comfortable, bed and breakfast accommodation with private facilities. The accommodation is ideally placed for exploring the historic town of Conwy, the mountains of Snowdonia, the North Wales coastline and the Island of Anglesey.

There are four rooms - three en-suite, and one with a private bathroom. All rooms, including our delightful breakfast room enjoy panoramic views of the medieval walls and towers, the hills of Snowdonia or both. Three of the rooms look out across our gardens.

The breakfast room and one of the en-suite double bedrooms are situated on the ground floor. Please note that Bryn does have to be accessed by a step on the outside path, a step into the porch and a step into the entrance hall.

A wide, turning staircase with a large arched feature window takes you to the other two en-suite double rooms and the triple (family) room with a private bathroom.

All of the bedrooms have generously stocked drinks and nibbles trays, comfortable chairs, remote control TV with teletext, alarm clock radios, hair driers and luggage stands.

Selected toiletries are available in the bathrooms which all have showers and shaver points. The rooms are all well lit with a selection of central lights, table lights and bed lights.

Breakfast at Bryn is based entirely on the finest, freshest ingredients. I serve organic, fairtrade, homemade or locally sourced products whenever possible and fresh bread is baked each morning. Choice is very important to me, so foods are always cooked to order. Our butcher in Conwy supplies us with their gold award winning breakfast sausages and home cured bacon. Packed lunches can be requested the previous evening (extra charge).

Vegetarians are most welcome with foods cooked separately where necessary.

Alison (that's me, the proprietor), has coeliac disease. This means that home made gluten free bread and other breakfast treats such as Welsh cakes and crumpets are always available along with gluten free sausages from our butcher and nibbles in the rooms. Lactose free, wheat free and anything else free diets can usually be accommodated in the same way if you advise me in advance. As with vegetarians, foods are stored, prepared and cooked totally separately.

Nut allergy - I make my own muesli containing chopped nuts and use nuts and nut oils regularly in everyday cookery. I am afraid that I could not guarantee a nut free environment.
