Welcome to The Brunswick Hotel

Brunswick Merchant Hotel, 4K
The Brunswick hotel is unique in that it is the only small independent contemporary hotel in Glasgow's bustling city centre. The architecturally acclaimed primavera building which houses the Brunswick in a narrow space within a wide Victorian street is surrounded by beautiful old buildings.

Location! Location! Location! One of the most important issues when choosing your city hotel. The Brunswick is within easy access to Glasgow airport (15/20mins by taxi), minutes walk to our two major railway stations (Central & Queen Street), and a main bus station just up the road. Our local tourist information office is 5 minutes walk on our impressive George Square.

The Brunswick is also surrounded by some of Glasgow’s best shopping streets, nightclubs, cafes, bars, restaurants, museums, galleries & historical attractions.
Apart from all this The Brunswick is great value for money with rooms starting from £50, its style is simple, bold & very friendly. We may not have all the excessive frills of large corporate hotels but our friendly, helpful, laid back approach makes The Brunswick the right choice for your stay in Glasgow.

Sleep

Brunswick Merchant Hotel, 3K

Sleeping at the Brunswick. Our 18 rooms are all en-suite with prices starting at £55. Everything you need for an overnight stay in a busy city!

All rooms are priced by the room not per person. We have doubles & triple rooms available, some with queen sized beds that can also be turned into twins. All rooms are individually colour schemed so that no two are the same. They also have TV, direct dial telephone (most with modem points), tea & coffee facilities, and very comfortable beds.

Our rooms have been styled with clean lines - simple yet modern & individual. We have very recently refurbished all rooms with bold colours in public areas and calmer colouring in each bedroom. You could be in New York, Paris or Prague with our small European feel & a big personality!

We also have rooms that are suitable for the disabled and a lift to all floors. Pets are welcome although prior notice is essential. We also have a stunning 3-bedroom penthouse nestling under our copper curved roof.

Although not all rooms boast the quality of views seen from our penthouse, you are still on the doorstep of one of the most stunning cities in Europe.

Our bar is available for a drink 24 hours to residents and there is someone on reception 24 hours a day to help you with anything you may need. Included in the room price is our self-service continental breakfast.

Eat & Drink

Brunswick Merchant Hotel, 6K

Start your day at The Brunswick with our self-service continental breakfast, which includes various cereals, fruit juices, fruit segments, yoghurts, a selection of cheese & preserves. We shall prepare you a fine espresso, latte or a coffee of your taste, speciality teas, or hot chocolate to go with your toast and warm croissants. We use vettori coffee, one of the finest in the world! Magazines and newspapers are always available and the music is gentle to wake up to.

Lunch and early evening food is served from 12noon – 8pm daily in our new kitchen & bar called ‘brutti ma buoni’ (ugly but good in Italian). The food here is not only Italian, but includes flavours from around the world. Our menu is inspired by tasty meals & bites from all corners of the world. We call it holiday style. All food is home-made, simple & very tasty. High quality produce is used throughout and includes vegetables, oils, herbs, fish, chicken & meat. Cooked simply for maximum taste by our cook, Joanne Munro, we produce an ever-changing menu with daily & weekly specials. We have staples on the menu all the time like our ‘brutti breads’ - great at anytime.

To go with this great tasting food we have selected some great draught lagers including Pilsner Urquell & Stella Artois served very chilled. A selection of fine house wines is always available.

Food prices range between £2.50 - £8.00 with the exception of some specials which can be a little more expensive. Our house wines range from £10.95 per bottle with cava starting at £12.95. Champagne for that special occasion is from £35.

Above all, we aim to offer great tasting food at great prices. We have a small but great cocktails list and our spirits are premium brands.
