| Welcome Brook Barn has been awarded the coveted, 'highly commended 5 Yellow Stars' by the AA Guest Accommodation Scheme along with their egg cup and pie award for 'very special breakfasts and dinners' so you can be sure of a wonderful stay. Brook Barn is situated on the outskirts of a small, Oxfordshire village, 25 minutes from Oxford, 30 minutes from the Cotswolds and just over an hour from Bath, Cheltenham and London. The house is a jewel of a hideaway with its fabulous mix of traditional design, comfort and unique atmosphere. We have quiet rooms, an office, a games room and peaceful, beautifully decorated bedrooms. Brook Barn, up until a few years ago, was two barns incorporating stables, bull pen and a hayloft. It has been converted into a stunning family home retaining many of the original beams. The sitting room has a double height ceiling with large French windows that open up onto a 'Mediterranean' garden on one side and out to Letcombe Brook on the other. In the summer, with all the doors open, the sitting room becomes part of the garden. Equally inviting in winter, the huge fireplace and the underfloor heating make it a wonderfully cosy room to sit in and relax. The library is on the first floor and looks out over the sitting room. It is a fabulous area where you can hide yourself away to read magazines, the papers or a good book. The rooms are beautifully but simply decorated and extremely comfortable with Egyptian cotton linen and towels, televisions with Freeview and CD/DVD player. The office facilities are comprehensive with fax machine, printer, copier/scanner and computer for our guests use and WiFi throughout the house. The garden has the stunning Letcombe Brook running through it and is the perfect place for that early evening drink or a peaceful wander before breakfast or dinner. Soak away all your aches and pains in the hot tub which you will find in the 'Mediterranean' garden - one of our favourite areas! It really doesn't matter if you are staying at Brook Barn for one night on your way to a business meeting or whether you are wanting a few days away from it all - Brook Barn is the perfect venue for all your social or business needs. |

Breakfast We are extremely proud of our breakfasts at Brook Barn and are thrilled that the AA granted us their 'egg cup' award for a 'very special breakfast'. We take great pleasure from offering our guests not just a continental breakfast or English, but both. Every morning you will be able to help yourself to hams, cheeses, homemade muesli, cereals, croissant, pain au chocolat and we will cook you a delicious 'fry up' consisting of eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms from The Ridgeway in season and toast made from freshly baked bread. Coffee, tea (a large selection of fruit teas are always available) and freshly squeezed orange juice are, of course, provided. If you prefer to have breakfast in the privacy of your own room we can organise a tray of your preferences. For those of you who need to leave early we have the Early Bird breakfast; a cup of coffee or tea, orange juice and a bacon bap which should set you up for the day ahead. The Early Bird is served between 5am and 7am |
