Places to Visit
Most of West Dorset is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is the World Heritage site "Jurassic coast" famous for its fossils and footpaths and the rolling hills - home of the Cerne Giant and the spectacular hill forts of Maiden Castle and Eggardon.
We have a large private car park, so why not forget about the car and stroll to the numerous pubs and restaurants around the harbour and countryside.
You can take the Jurassic Coast bus, which stops a few hundred meters from our door, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the coast from Poole to Exmouth. It runs every 2 hours and you can purchase a daily hop on and hop off ticket.
We are just 10 minutes walk from West Bay, location for the BBC series "Harbour Lights", with its picturesque harbour, beaches, and the Dorset coastal path.
Bridport is renowned for its thriving street markets and monthly Farmers' market and the historic town of Dorchester is not far away with its famous Roman Heritage and its links to Thomas Hardy. |
